Since we want to bump to Netty 4.1.x on TINKERPOP-1987 we have to go to Spark
2.3.x. Spark 3.1.x is bound to netty 4.0.x and the upgrade doesn't work without
it. Previous attempts were made at pom.xml exclusion tactics and none seemed to
get things to compile right.
