I noticed that there is a resolution option in JIRA for "Later" which I think makes sense to use at this point. I think there's a number of open issues which are good ideas but likely not things we would try to shoehorn into 3.x as they represent really hard/big changes that would likely be better thought through for 4.x. If we mark them as "Later" on close we could easily find them and return to them at a future time. I think this will help shorten up our backlog and make it easier to see actionable issues.
I'll assume lazy consensus on this and proceed to write this in the dev docs and start closing issues with the "Later" resolution unless there are some objections in the next 72 hours. Thanks.
