In 3.4.9 We deprecated custom keep-alive functionality in the Java driver and
delegated it to Netty (or rather to the underlying pipeline itself) instead of
the {{Channelizer}} having any knowledge of it. The {{Channelizer}} really
didn't need to know anything about that aspect of a particular protocol. We can
wholly remove this functionality in 3.5.0.
