Hi all, As a follow up to the earlier devlist discussion on geospatial support (https://lists.apache.org/thread/mxg3kopgj9h9v8j299qjhdhopzpdkfow), I'd like to propose adding a first-class Geometry value type to Gremlin, with spatial predicates such as geoWithin, geoContains and geoWithinDistance, and steps such as distance() and asGeography(). Each value carries a model, CARTESIAN or GEOGRAPHIC, that decides how it is measured, and JTS would become a new gremlin-core dependency.
