While on the subject of new databases, I'll use this thread to mention that I've been working on migrating elastic-gremlin to a more general "federation data base". Basically enabling traversals on multiple different back-ends. It's not yet ready for general uses (still lacking proper documentation), but you can take a look here <https://github.com/rmagen/unipop>.
