Specifying a Context descriptor for a traditionally-deployed webapp, in /webapps, produces warnings when using the supposed 'new and recommended' /conf/[engine]/[hostname]/someApp.xml context specifiers. WARNING: A docBase XXX inside the host appBase has been specified, and will be ignored This breaks compatability with normal/ traditional deployment methods. Neither am I aware of a better alternative? The message also appears incorrect in that the webapp will actually be deployed from this location. See later though for incorrect recognition, incorrect scrubbing/ deletion etc separate webapp/ context problems.
