But i have read the documentation. There is mentioned, that every directory containing a WEB-INF/web.xml is deployed as context. Can you describe how this can cause the effect of this bug? Auto-deploy of webapps was already there in tomcat 5.0. There my example webapp works fine. So something must have changed (in a way that is at least incompatible with tomcat 5.0). I think the detection of weather the directoray is a webapp or not might be broken.
