Bug ID: 66618
Summary: add longDate element to XML in directory listing
Product: Tomcat 8
Version: 8.5.x-trunk
Hardware: PC
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Catalina
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ----
In my application I need to list directory unsing descending date. Sorting can
easily be done using xslt, but date attribute in XML is a string which is a fll
representation of Java Date that starts from Day of the week. If XSLT sorting
is applied the files sort order does not make any sense.
To solve this problem I suggest to introduce a new attribute - longDate - which
will be a long value of the Date, i.e. a number whichi will be perfect for
sorting using XSLT.
