Hi all,
I have a few things I still want to look at with the recent error
handling changes. I'm seeing differences in behaviour between versions
I at least want to understand. Depending on what I find, I might try
and align behaviours a little more.
Once that is done, I plan to run my usual set of tests and then tag.
Best guess is I'll be tagging some time tomorrow.
Related to releases, our DigiCert code signing key we use for signing
Windows releases is about to expire. I've ordered the replacement.
Once it is in place, I'll update the build.properties.default file.
Sounds good to me.
In the US, Thanksgiving is a major holiday which pretty much takes
everyone out of the office from Wednesday 22 November through Sunday 26
November.
I think we should aim to time releases either sometime the previous week
(meaning NEXT week) or for after the 22nd.
I wouldn't want anyone to install an upgrade and then go on vacation for
4-5 days without paying any attention, just in case something is broken :)
+1
I've addressed all the error handling things I want to address so I
intend to start the release process for 11.0.x shortly.
Sounds good. Fingers crossed for no regressions, the error changes are
not insignificant.
NIO and NIO2 unit tests all pass on x86 MacOS for both Tomcat 10.1.x
HEAD and Tomcat 8.5.x HEAD.
I did get a really weird error in the 8.5.x about a class format error,
but I would guess that has nothing to do with any kind of refactoring
for error-handling. I'll post separately about that.
