Hallo Matthias :))

Yes, it's correct. There is no way to save a change done by the status worker
into a file. We plan this feature for a major new release, but there will be no
solution soon.

If you need to change state for longer than just a couple of minutes, you always
need to keep you config file in sync by yourself to prevent surpises after 
restart.
