Looking to answer a question on the users' ML ("rewrite.config hot
update"), I tried to connect VisualVM to Tomcat, but it hangs when
connecting. The status bar says "Opening (pid X) Tomcat ..." and
eventually I need to kill the VisualVM process.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
This is on aarm64 MacOS with a freshly-downloaded copy of VisualVM. It's
running on Java 24, which came bundled with it.
Initially, I was running Tomcat on Java 17 but I switched to Java 24 in
case that was the issue, but it still hangs like that.
Running from the command-line didn't really add anything like stderr
logging or anything like that.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get more information?
