It is not until you read the article The Long and Sordid Tale of the Invoker Servlet http://faq.javaranch.com/java/InvokerServlet that this is stated. The Tomcat FAQ http://tomcat.apache.org/faq/misc.html#evil needs to explicitly state that the Tomcat 6 invoker no longer loads unless privileged. It should also state the procedure to make it privileged.
