http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=43592 Summary: Incorrect finding error-page for exceptions encapsuled in ServletException Product: Tomcat 5 Version: Unknown Platform: All OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Catalina AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have the following error-pages configured in web.xml: <error-page> <exception-type>java.lang.Throwable</exception-type> <location>/errors/genericError.jsp</location> </error-page> <error-page> <exception-type>com.myapp.AppException</exception-type> <location>/errors/appError.jsp</location> </error-page> When AppException is raised in application I catch it and throw a ServletException with AppException as cause. The error page shown would have to be appError.jsp, but as ServletException and not AppException is matching with Throwable, genericError.jsp is shown. The correct would be find a mapping for ServletException.getRootException first and then, if not found, find a mapping for ServletException. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
