We did not disable retries. "mod_jk retries http post requests in case of timeout in getting response from tomcat with default configurations(no retries or recovery_options specified)." We will do this anyway, since our application does not like "retries", they can (in theory) result in two or more transactions being processed. I think next test will be with .30 , no reuse, no reties and a new tomcat from JBoss. BTW: We are pretty sure our application is not at fault.
