Jasper is (and was back in 4.1.24) doing everything it can in terms of
propagating the exception and correct exception chaining.
I can't find anything that suggests "Cannot compare..." is an error message
generated by a Tomcat component. Neither can I reproduce this based on guessing
what the root cause might have been.
Without a reproducible test case, it looks like some third party component (a
taglib maybe?) is generating this message.
