Hi all, Tomcat 7 fails to compile with Java 8. Would it be possible to backport r1222329 [1] which fixed this issue for Tomcat 8 please?
This is an issue in Debian where Tomcat is built from the sources, we would like to switch to Java 8 as the default JDK but several packages still fail to build. This may also be an issue for Fedora, they plan to switch to Java 8 and remove Java 7 this fall.
