Well, it's fine, but I didn't see the point for me since the buffers were throw away and I didn't need to track their flip state. So the plan next for me would be to try a buffer pool for NIO2 [this is appropriate for NIO2 since scatter/gather can be used to access them]. No idea if it would actually be really faster. Rémy
