Not a must, but for sanity testing when you have issues - Tests each
connection before use etc.
What is your bean declared like? This area is so heavily tested that it
is not likely to be an internal issue, rather a setup issue - The more
info we get the better to serve you ;-) .
I'd be looking for the following on a bean paging method...
@Stateless?
@PersistenceContext is using the default of
PersistenceContextType.TRANSACTION
@TransactionAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.NEVER)
pagingMethod(...
