Well you need decide if this really is a blocker for the 1.7.1 release -
If it is then it needs fixing/reverting on the 1.7.1 branch (too much
changed in 1.7.x already) and moved to 1.7.2
We don't want to drag out a long 'quick fix release', we need this
before JavaOne.
What do you suggest?
