Hi Daniel,

Contributors (committers) are always welcome. As you mentioned, the
meritocracy is one way to get invited to become a committer, a PMC, etc.
There is many different ways to contribute to the project. Of course, the
code is very important, but there is also the documentation, and the
mailing list support.

>From what I've seen, you are doing great in the code, and we can for sure
provide you with more guidance and areas to dig into, mainly depending on
the time you have to dedicate.
The 2.x devel branch is focusing Java EE 7. Some specifications are already
in the box, but not all.

You have a pretty code knowledge of the code base and the project now. Feel
free to answer and the mailing list to help others if you want to.

This email on the dev@list is an excellent way to go. We will for sure take
that into account and help you as much as possible.
