I just tested on release-test and received the message instantly. I wonder if this was related to #158? Server load was quite high before that was fixed. Sending the announcement message to yourself is just for testing, and results correctly in the message "`Could not retrieve archive URL for this message.`" because there is no archive URL for ATR to obtain. We could add an indication of when the message sending task is completed, but I didn't yet do so because we intend to remove the functionality to send to self anyway as ATR becomes more mature. Please feel free to close this issue straight away if this answer is satisfactory. If not, please let us know the outcome of a further test. Or if you'd like to continue to discuss the UI around this, let's leave the issue open and discuss it here.
