He, he, in 2008 I **actually** led the whole team of engineers at Google (split between Krakow and Zurich) - in a project called 'Scotty` (as in `Beam me up Scotty !` where we developed the upload component for YouTubeVideo (that time). Including working around lack of web standards for multi-chunked, resumable uploads. We were supposed to do it in the way that was multi-data center capable - uploading and resuming in any of the datacenters, going to sleep and resuming when you closed your laptop, dealing with flaky network issues, and even uploading multiple chunks to multiple locations in parallel and putting them back together on the server side ..... All at Google scale. ... and having a progress bar as well :) I hear it is in use till today. So yeah. I know it's not the "easy one". There were 5 engineers in the team.
