Also sometimes release manager might no be PMC member - it's ok for the committer to be a RM (happened last time in Airflow for Airflow-CTL) - as long as PMC member signs and publishes the artifacts. There is no limit to who can actually initiate the vote. Which also brings another subject - are we going to visibly distinguish binding from non-binding votes ? I think (without exception) voice of PMC member is binding, where anyone else - including RM who is committer but not PMC Member - everyone else is advisory. And we can derive it automatically from our records who is and who is not a PMC member - should we somehow make it exposed during voting and in a summary ? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
