In #647 I suggest that we reconsider, and use source as the default. The rationale is that source is currently the only thing that PMCs vote on, and that even if we extend it to binaries, source will still be always required whereas binaries will be optional. Therefore every project will include source, but not all will include binaries. I noticed this in my test releases which are mostly just source artifacts, and which were all being misclassified by default as binaries. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
