A temporary resolution has been to edit the file autotext.dpz, where the call for a GB file in the US directory is (apparently) incorrectly made. Google shows that this has been around since m110.
A temporary resolution does *not* fix the source of the error. I am just guessing that the error itself is committed somewhere in configure, and appears during bootstrap where autotext.dpz is created for dmake.
