Hi there!
If you try to automate anything here then I would advise to use
"cwsquery latest" or better "cwsquery -m DEV300 latest" on the
commandline rather than to parse the URL to the EIS webfrontend mentioned.
Much simpler interface!
The cwsquery commandline utility is in solenv/bin in the OpenOffice.org
source code among other cws tools.
You need to have a CWS configuration file named .cwsrc in your home
directory (~/.cwsrc) for any of the cws command-line tools to work.
Look here:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/CWS#cws_config_file_.28.cwsrc.29
for details on how to set this up.
To see what else cwsquery can do for your automated tasks call "cwsquery -h"
If you want to be notified whenever there is a new MasterWorkspace ready
to be used there is also an RSS feed available here:
http://tools.services.openoffice.org/EIS2/cws.rss.CWSAnnounceNewsFeed/mws
More info on EIS and related services can be found here:

Hi!
We are working on a project to analyze current OpenOffice.org source
code. To automatically do this every week or so we would like to be
able to automatically check out the latest buildable version.
I ran into trouble trying to determine the correct CVS tag to use.
I tried using this page of EIS to determine the current milestone:
http://tools.services.openoffice.org/EIS2/cws.MilestoneData?STVUN=%2FEIS2%2Fcws.MilestoneData&STVSort=AEntryDate
Last week when I was working on this, DEV300_m4 was the most recent
milestone, so I went with
cvs co -r DEV300_m4
But this only checked out the svtools, svx and sw directories.
Can you advise me on how to determine the correct tag? Or should I
just use HEAD?
Also, the analysis system does not support branching code. In EIS I
see that there are DEV300 and OOH680 milestones interspersed in the
timeline. Can you give some advice on how to best pick milestones so
that the code looks most like a continuous development? I think we
should concentrate on just DEV300 or on just OOH680. But what happens
when a new MWS appears? How can we decide automatically to follow this
new one from then on or keep with the old one?
My understanding of the MWS system is quite lacking, so I would be
glad for any clarification!
Thank you very much!
Daniel
