Okay, idea 1: We create a Web application (some Social SVN Subscription Application, or so), which allows people to subscribe to selected folders and files within the SVN repository (so I can subscribe to everything in svx/source/form, but only selected files in svx/source/inc). The shell script then checks the MySQL database which serves as backend for this application, and notifies everybody who's subscribed to a file just being changed. No? Hmm. Idea 2: Well, there is no idea 2. Adding a module is always a manual process, at least it was back in CVS times (we needed to tell releng, at least, so it could set up things for the new module). So, I suppose there's a check list "What to do when adding new modules" already. Just let's add an "update file X on server Y" to the list ...
