Poking around on git.apache.org, I found some info how to import from  
the pregenerated git repos. I've put the instructions on a CWiki page:

  http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/TS/Git

This is under the "VersionControl" page, which is just a place holder.  
I'm thinking we'll want to start thinking about how to organize pages,  
to avoid have a completely flat Wiki.
