This patch should should start getting '--enable-standalone-iocore' working
again. The patch has been tested on ubuntu904, OSX(10.5), FreeBSD(7.2) and
OpenSolaris(osol0906). This assumes any application is using the public
interfaces in the I_xxx.h files.
