Preparing for a v3.1.2 release

I think we need to make a v3.1.2 release soon. Please go through the 
current list of bugs assigned for v3.1.2, and either

a) Fix bug(s) ! :)
b) Close bugs which are either fixed, or no longer needs to be fixed 
(duplicated, won't fix, works for me etc.)
c) Move bugs critical for v3.2 out to either v3.1.3 or v3.1.4.
d) Move bugs that should not be in v3.2 out to v3.3.0.
