somewhat related: Debian is presumably going to freeze at some point in
June unless something unexpected happens. That means, the next Debian
stable version will feature whatever version you released by then.

Having that said: If you want 3.2 in Debian by then, you need to release
it in time. :)

Note, whatever the ATS version will be when Debian freezes, will be
featured in Ubuntu for the next 6-8 months, too until the freeze is
lifted again. That is because Ubuntu mirrors most Debian packages
(including ATS) unchanged from Debian Sid. During a freeze there won't
be much change, though. This means the very same version will be in
Ubuntu 12.10 and possibly 13.04.
