Hi,

The Project Management Committee (PMC) for incubating Apache Trafodion has
asked Selva Govindarajan to become a committer and PMC member. We are
pleased to announce that he has accepted.

Selva has made several contributions to Trafodion since it entered
incubation: several pull requests, JIRAs created and JIRAs resolved. He has
also been very active on the e-mail lists.

Selva is also quite knowledgeable about Trafodion. A run-time specialist,
he has contributed several improvements to the path length of the Trafodion
layer that talks to HBase. He also was the original architect of the RMS
layer in Trafodion – the layer that gathers run-time statistics about query
execution.

Being a committer enables easier contribution to the project, allowing
Selva to commit changes directly, and to commit the changes of others.
Being a PMC member too allows Selva to assist with the management and
direction of the project.

Please welcome me in congratulating Selva.

Dave
