In addition, several other folks reported issues. These are the ones I’ve
seen:
[TRAFODION-1993] installer needs to expand DCS and REST directories
Impact: components have wrong *_HOME directories and
sqcheck shows them as not configured
[TRAFODION-1992] Re-packaging server tar file broke install_traf_components
Impact: Developer environment only, no end-user impact
[TRAFODION-1997] Unable to install Trafodion using Cloudera version 5.6
Impact: This release is compatible with CDH5.4, NOT 5.5 &
5.6 (Even though they have HBase1.0, there are incompatibilities)
This needs to be corrected or documented & installer should
check for 5.4 only
[No JIRA?] Apache HBase1.1 (convenience binaries) does not work. Apache
HBase1.0 works okay. Hortonworks Distro of HBase1.1 works okay.
[No JIRA?] Java version check – reported by Gunnar
Impact: Not understood. It is working for others.

Trafodion Community,
This is a call to vote on release 2.0.0 of Apache Trafodion (incubating).
Once the community approves a release candidate, a similar vote will be
taken in the Apache Incubator community.
RC1 showed some issues with historical packaging complexity and taking
jenkins automation for granted. These issues are sorted out so that
building the “package” target from the released sources produces a single
server tar file that is handled by the installer.
Changes since RC1:
[TRAFODION-1668] - Cannot upload customer SPJ JARs
[TRAFODION-1982] - Server Packaging should be single tar file
[TRAFODION-1985] - Server Packaging does not contain expected
build-version.txt file
2.0.0 is a major release which now requires HBase 1.0.x or 1.1.x. It is
NOT compatible with HBase 0.x.x nor with 1.2.x.
As previous release, Trafodion 2.0 works with JDK 1.7 or 1.8, and
RedHat/Centos 6.x. (Does not work on RH7 as yet.)
