Gunnar, If we go ahead and release, and then do a patch release within a week or two to provide the re-packaged clients is that okay? Documentation may be out of synch during the interim.
What do others think? Should we go ahead and get the packaging / license changed for clients and spin another release candidate for a complete 2.0.0 release, or make it a 2.0.1 patch release? I think either method will take about same amount of time. Maybe a week and half since we'd have two rounds of voting. We might not want to publicize release too much until the patch come out anyway. So not sure what the early release will buy us, other than practice at making releases. --Steve > -----Original Message----- > From: Gunnar Tapper [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Thursday, June 2, 2016 12:07 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [VOTE] Apache Trafodion release 2.0.0 - release candidate 3 > > Unfortunately, both the Client Installation Guide and the Provisioning > Guide refer to binaries.
