to add to that. in Trafodion, a 'database' equivalent is a schema. And multiple schemas can be created in a catalog which is 'Trafodion'. This is to keep with ansi 3-part naming scheme for every object.
One can also do: create schema trafodion.s; or 'get schemas in catalog trafodion'. When you do 'get schemas' or 'show schema' (from trafci), there will also be multiple internal system 'schemas' that will show up.
