Hi Siegfried,

I do agree with you. I am in 2.3.2 and I just put the
migration M1 away because lots of library was obsolete or
not really available due to the fulcrum project.

Regards,
Thomas

Subject : [fulcrum] Moving the fulcrum builds to M2

Hi folks,

any opinions regarding migration of the M1 build to M2?

I currently have the following problems/thoughts

1a) a lot of libraries are not available on M1 repos, e.g
had no luck
with xfire-1.2.6 tonight

1b) syncing M1 repos with M2 was recently broken as well

2) dependency inheritance would be a real plus for fulcrum

3) M1 know-how is becoming rare whereas M2 is more widely used

4) doing a release involves quit a few manual steps and is a
real
headache for me - I would like to see a much smoother
release process
and this would require some time

5) I had a look at commons-parent.pom and this looks quite
okay for us

Cheers,

Siegfried Goeschl
