Replying to a very old post.
The regexp /^\w+$/ will match "Jürgen" when ORO is used, but will not
match when java.util.regex is used. So \w in ORO matches more than \w
in java.util.regex and this can impact existing code.
I just spent 5 minutes checking to see if Siegfried's name in reality
includes any accents (AFAICT it does not) since it would have been
ironic if both of the people that replied to the original post had names
that would hit this.
Now what I need is is a substitute character class for j.u.r that
matches the \w provided by ORO.
Not a sow stopper, but something to be aware of.
