Hi Siegfried, @RCs This would be great, we could announce Testcontainer and Yaafi RCs in late June or beginning of next month. If you have any ideas and suggestions for the testcontainer/yaafi, let me know it, what I could do. May be we should release (or just discuss) the Turbine parent release first? It should be complete, the only thing to be done is to revert the supported default compiler version back to 1.6 from 1.7.
@ASFReleaseProcedures I think http://www.apache.org/dev/publishing-maven-artifacts.html is quite useful. The READMEs in fulcrum/security and fulcrum/json have some main points as well. The first concerning publishing sites, the latter (multi module) release process hints. The main stumbling points for me are: - in Windows the gpg signing process works only if gpg.useagent is set to false (currently set to default in fulcrum.json, but should be overwritable by using -Dgpg.useagent=true). Using gpg2 might be the way to go, as it supports the the agent by default. - the famous delay: "If you're located in Europe then release:prepare may fail with 'Unable to tag SCM' and ' svn: No such revision X '. Wait 10 seconds and run mvn release:prepare again." - caching of password may be a problem, so using the commandline: -Dusername=.. -Dpassword= may be helpful as a last resort. I doublecheck always some generated asc files (gpg --verify ...) manually.
