I would rather make the profile that don't generate zip as the default one to speed up the build. During release time, we can generate the archives using "release" profile.

Thanks,
Raymond

Subject: [2.x] question about naming of distribution output

We currently unzip the distro zip to a directory called
apache-tuscany-sca-all-2.0-SNAPSHOT-dir. The assembly plugin will
generate a directory called
apache-tuscany-sca-all-2.0-SNAPSHOT.dir automatically (notice a dot
instead of a hyphen). Is there a good reason why a hyphen was chosen
instead of a dot when unzipping the zip? Problems on particular
platforms maybe? Seems to ring a bell somehow but I can't recall why
and I can't find anything obvious in the mail archive of the svn log.

I'm asking as I have a profile that just generates the directory and
not the zips and I'd like to be able to rely on the directory being
called ".dir" as opposed to "-dir" (means I can ommit the unzip stage
altogether if the zip is not present). Works for me on Win XP.

Regards

Simon
