What I > was asking is the case where a base URI is not defined. > I think what we'll have to do is just look at each of the environments and scenarios we want to support and see whats possible there, for some its just not going to be possible to find a good default so it may just have top be manually configured, for example with Tuscany embeded in a webapp its not really possible to find the host and port from the container, or with multiple network interfaces while some things can listen on all network interfaces others can't so need to get told which to use. ...ant
