I did some investigation into why these take so long, i've wondered about that before as you can see when running a build it takes quite some time to load a contribution and start a composite, and it turns out that the runtime was still going out to w3.org to get the XMLSchema DTD. I fixed that in r920155 and the 16 minutes for running all the compliance tests has dropped down to less than 4 minutes. ...ant
