Hi Curtis,

Is the OOo Basic script language intended to be compatible with any public specification, like ANSI Full Basic (ANSI INCITS 113-1987 (R2003))?

No, to be honest: I've never heard about this... :-)

I'm trying to come up with a OOo Basic specification for the current and intended implementation. Is there someone responsible for the changes to the Basic Parser/Compiler/Generator/Runtime that I've seen in the current development CVS who I can contact with questions, or should I base it all on the ANSI specification, MSVB compatibility, and what I find in the implementation?

I'm the responsible engineer for Star/OOo Basic. My focus clearly is MSVB compatibility. Your specification project sounds interesting. Could you please give some more details about your target. There are already some OOo Basic related resources as the OOo Office online help and Andrew's great macro book (see http://www.pitonyak.org/ AndrewMacro.sxw). How do you see the role of your specification in this context?

Regards

Andreas
