We are pleased to announce the tcluno tools and library packages. The tcluno library is a library written in C++ to connect to an openOffice.org process and drive openOffice.org using the scripting language Tcl. The library uses openOffice.org UNO (Universal Network Objects) interfaces and methods. It is based on the UNO bridges concept used for C++, python, java etc.
The Tcl packages contain libraries to make it easier for the Tcl programmer, to use the tcluno library with its routines which are on a lower level. There are functions for accessing swriter, scalc, simpress documents and for modifying the contents of those documents. Additionally there is an Tcl application called unospection, which allows to call the UNO interfaces directly from a Tcl GUI and to excercise the interfaces, properties and methods and directly see the results of the doing within the openOffice.org Documents.
