uimaj-ep-runtime on Apache Felix

Hi all,
I am doing some work with Apache Felix and tried to run uimaj-ep-runtime as
a bundle inside it.
I managed to do that changing the <_exportcontents> tag with
<Export-Package> and changing its <packaging> from 'jar' to 'bundle'.
As I think this could be a good enhance but I don't want to break backward
(or other use cases) compatibility I'd like to know what do you think about
such a change.
