One minor issue, not requiring a respin of the release in my opinion:

The SVN checkout of the tag (and the trunk) have LICENSE / NOTICE / README files
at the top level, from the previous release.  These files do not appear in the
release artifacts.

These should be changed to have content something like:
"see uima-as/README  (etc.) "
so we don't have to maintain them.  They should point to where the
README/LICENSE/NOTICE files are in uima-as, for the source-release.
