Yes after thinking a little more about it I now believe its really up to the concrete
Cas Editor implementation to decide how to visualize the different views.
In case of the provided Annotation Editor we could just have the suggested selection box/menu
to chose the currently shown view (+1 to do that from me).
Since it only supports text it can only show text sofas, if there is an image or whatever sofa type, the user needs a different Cas Editor implementation which can
deal with it.
In eclipse it should be possible to open the same CAS again with a different kind of
editor, in that case the two editors are synchronized.

A user should be able to easily implement a new Cas Editor, and that could
also be a MultiPageCasEditor which might be made to fit the needs of an annotation project as part of an RCP application. For example a MultiPageEditor which shows
has an image view in one tab and a text view in a second tab.
