This process generates the feature.xml files in the projects 

  uimaj-eclipse-feature-runtime
  uimaj-eclipse-feature-tools

After refreshing and rebuilding in Eclipse, all errors are gone, but the two 
projects mentioned above are dirty because the ".project" files have been 
changed.
