About the selection:
Ah, ok, that makes sense. Then I only have to check on the kind of
SelectionEvent.
I will remove my own object structure and let the ContentProvider use the UIMA
objects.
About the caret:
Normally, the selection in the editor is enough, but the selection view needs
the exact position (offset) in the document in order to calculate the
overlapping annotations.
