Points well-taken. For some reason I thought we had posted some level of doc already but I thought wrong. There is a fairly large but still rough and slightly out-of-date doc in the DUCC svn source. I'll make this available directly from the UIMA Sandbox page early this week. Finishing and cleaning this document is one of the key 1.0.0 tasks. We'll also post a roadmap of remaining tasks required for a 1.0.0 release to seed discussion.
As well, the Maven build is now working and I got basic system verification tests verified. There will be a quickstart guide posted later this week as well.
