Unfortunately, I didn't have any time to look further into this issue, in
particular not for installing different old versions of Eclipse and testing the
scenario. It appears that the branch works with recent Eclipse versions, so I'd
vote for merging unless there is a strong reason to support old Eclipse
versions.
